Residential, Historic Preservation | Miami Beach, FL
The design of this home is guided by a seamless relationship
between architecture, landscape, and waterfront living, responding
to its setting in the Nautilus neighborhood of Miami Beach.
Organized as a series of layered volumes, the residence balances
a sense of openness with moments of enclosure, allowing interior spaces
to extend outward into a lush tropical environment.
The architectural language draws from Mediterranean precedents, with
softened edges, textured surfaces, and controlled openings that create a
calm and enduring presence.
The ground plane is conceived as a continuous indoor-outdoor experience, where shaded terraces, gardens, and water elements are interwoven to support both everyday living and gathering. Toward the waterfront, the home unfolds into a sequence of outdoor rooms anchored by a pool and dock, creating a direct connection to the canal beyond. Upper-level spaces overlook this landscape, reinforcing visual continuity and natural ventilation throughout. The result is a residence that embraces its climate and context, offering a relaxed yet refined environment shaped by light, greenery, and water.
